By the sea in Port Washington, Jia takes a step towards fine dining with its attempt on Dim Sum. From gold brushed crystal shrimp dumplings to cranberry sauce on the Peking duck (which is not bad!) Jia is not your typical dim sum spot, but rather a newer and yet welcome higher level experience to the dim sum family. Taste: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Value for money: 2.5/5 We had: 1) Assorted Dim Sum Platter: your value for money dish relative the menu, you get to touch 1) crystal shrimp dumplings, Shao Mai (siu Mai), four piece dumpling and spinach skin gyoza, the dish was better from left to right! 2) Whole duck: this was great and was their signature. It comes with 9 homemade crepe pancakes that is used for wrapping the duck. Unlike other establishments, they add cranberry sauce which was actually a nice bitter & citrus component to the dish. You can ask for more scallions and cucumber at no additional cost. 3) Seafood Fried Rice: Very good with nice chunks of scallop here and there 4) Tea: it was $3 a glass with no refill, the glass was cute but did wish it was more All in all, if you're looking for an upscale feel to dim sum, this is the spot to try.

Top top of the list for the best dim sum in Long Island. Highly recommend to try ! My friend and I went on a Wednesday afternoon and we were blown away how delicious each dish was. Service was amazing. The lady guided us through the menu and suggested her favorites. Cocktails were wow incredible. We had the harbor heat and east meets west. Both were absolutely amazing. So refreshing and made to perfection. This place it's such a Hampton feel as the aesthetics is clean and crisp. Although before entering you would have no idea. Location is very hidden therefore I believe it's a true hidden gem. There's a variety of dim sum to select and can't wait to go back and try more. To start we ordered the yellowfin tuna sashimi salad and it was made to perfection from the presentation to the flavor wow. As per dim sum we ordered the five flavor chicken dumplings and I highly suggest to order if coming here. The juices, the flavor is so rich and made just right. Also top choice was the NyC pastrami egg roll. It was crispy and so delicious ! Of course soup dumplings are always the best option therefore we always order every time we see it on the menu. Highly recommend! Can't leave without having one of the best duck here at Jia! As an entree my friend and i shared the half Peking duck and it blew our minds how juicy and soft it was ! yet with the most perfect crispy skin. Highly recommend to try! It's everyone's favorite. You can serve it as a taco as they serve it with their homemade wheat pancakes . Now for desserts, felt like it couldn't get any better! We ordered the mango cheesecake and I have never tasted something like it before . You have to order it ! There's no words ! Also everyone's favorite are the chocolate dumplings. It's not often you get this on a menu so don't forget to try ! It's so warm chocolatey and delicious! There's not enough things I can say about this restaurant , it's truly a hidden gem in port Washington.

What a great Valentine's Day meal.. and looking forward to our next visit!! The soup dumplings, pork buns and noodles are all likely to be ordered again, and overall an amazing meal. The ambience was extremely aesthetic and beautiful. The service was great and our server was very informative when we were curious about menu items. Excited to come back to try more dishes and cocktails!

I took my mom here for her birthday since she loves dim sum, but we wanted something a bit more unique and fancy. Of course we got the dim sum Ferris wheel which was a bit kitschy, but my mom loved it. The food was better than I expected albeit also pricier. Def worth a try!

Popular smallish Asian grey-painted restaurant (for maybe 4-5 dozen) on a Saturday night with a very small parking lot, a makeshift entrance with stairs, no waiting area, so you're squashed against the front door unless there's an open stool at the bar for 3-4 ... happily that was only five minutes before being seated ... servers passing back and forth in front of us from the kitchen to the tables. It was a project getting a reservation. On the other hand, the food was great. My wife said, "this is the first time I've enjoyed Chinese food in years." Part of this rare (for us bridge and tunnel bumpkins from Long Island) dining experience was that lots of what we ordered seemed unique, like the NYC Pastrami Egg Roll. Like all the food there, it was brought out hot, as soon as it was cooked, and the four of us shared it ("family style") until the next dish arrived. It was a fresh and scrumptious, oversized egg roll with lean pastrami and maybe a little cabbage. It came with sauce on the side, but it was so tasty by itself, I didn't try it. Look how pretty the gold laced pink crystal shrimp dumplings are! A server assured us the gold was edible. The Peking Duck noodles (with scallions, bean sprouts and chow fun noodles) was less than one third the price of their Whole Peking Duck and got the nod. The duck was well-cooked, soft, not greasy (!), and mixed well with the noodles and veggies. (Again, I didn't feel like it needed dipping sauce.) Also sampled the BBQ Beef Fried Rice and the meat was good quality, plus the brown rice and mixed veggies were a good fit. My wife enjoyed their Buddha's Delight - it didn't have the marinated veggies you often get in take out places and included some novel ingredients, like "lotus wheels." Like the pastrami egg rolls, it was weird but wonderful.

Wow ! What a find. Found this place from a recommendation from a friend. No name outside the restaurant . Our waitress Elle was outstanding. Everything she recommended to us was spot on ! We started with a deconstructed Tuna Tar Tar which was Great! Came with soy paper rice crackers. Then we had the soup dumplings with pork and crab. They were delicious . Not a huge crab fan but didn't taste the crab at all. Then we had the best egg roll I have ever had. Brisket egg roll. I would come here just for the Brisket Egg Roll. Had the crispy duck with noodles for main which was excellent as well. Ordered an order of scallion pancakes which were also good. This isn't your ordinary Chinese restaurant. I will for sure be back. Ask for Elle if you go. She was awesome. Great cocktails as well !

We've been here twice now. No reservations either time and lucky to get in both times. Huge flow of pick up and mobile order pickups show the popularity of Jia! Super stealthy place to find with only the tiniest of signs next to the door. Simply and clean lines inside. Service both times has been text book attemtive and authentic. They want you happy, and engaged with food. Great to see. Ate at the bar as a party 4 on the first visit- Awesome time! On the food- simply the best dumplings we've had - Anywhere!!! Each better than last! Truffle Soup Dumplings - OMG... they've created an addiction in us all! They are so rich and flavorful! UMAMI!

It's a simple but fancy place. I googled it and it got great review and we were close by. Why not give a try. I was surprised! The service was great, they always there to help you when you needed anything. Look at the food, I took picture of them and they are not just looking good, they tasted great! I love fried rice a lot, but this seafood fried rice is my favorite! The duck was amazing, could one of the best in Long Island. Dim Sum is very special and soup dumping are amazing, they used very special soup , it's great. You have to try. I will come back again for sure
